That Accountability Thing
Michael Keen of Entisys sent me this link to an editorial on personal accountability in CIO magazine. Great point from the article by Susan Cramm:
"The only surprising thing about the very common phenomena of faulty leadership and project failure is the disbelief and disappointment that people express when things go wrong, and our eagerness to look outside ourselves when searching for something—or someone—to blame."

Comments: That Accountability Thing
A common refrain when I coach leaders is, "how can we get those people to change?"
Rather than own the fact that leaders need to start first by looking at themselves, most will will double their efforts at "watching" the work of others to impose accountability.
Thanks for the resource and reminder to look in the mirror first.
Life really is an inside job!

In baseball and in life: The worst mistakes are the ones you make when you're busy criticizing someone else for making a mistake. Not far behind are the ones you make when you're busy criticizing yourself for making a mistake.
