The Face Of Accountability

Speaking of Sleep Country USA...

One of their values (which they take very seriously, by the way) is Personal Accountability, and they've challenged every employee--from executive to delivery truck driver--to reflect on their own responsibility in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

One delivery driver put his role in very simple terms. He's the one who actually goes into the customer's home, so he feels that he should look professional. He is, after all, the very face of the company to that customer, right?

"My personal accountability," he said, "is that I remember to shave."

Man, I love that!

Sometimes accountability just isn't all that complicated.
